CDMX.- Dwayne Johnson, known as “The Rock”, had to cancel a business trip after a mechanical failure in his private jet that forced him to make an emergency landing. The actor was heading from Hawai to Houston, Texas, to attend the inauguration of the second season of the United Football League (UFL), a league of which he is co -owner.
The incident occurred about 35 minutes from takeoff, when Gulfstream G650, valued at 65 million dollars, presented a problem in the hydraulic system. As Johnson himself explained in a video posted on social networks, the pilot informed him that they could not continue the flight over the ocean due to risk, so they chose to return to Hawaii.
“At this time I had to be in the countryside, encouraging the public in Houston,” said Johnson, 52. He thanked the calm of the pilot and the crew, especially the flight attendant, who offered him something to calm down. “In those moments, you think about the worst. You realize very fast about what really matters in life,” he reflected.
Although he expressed sadness for not being able to be present at the event, he said he felt grateful to have landed safe and safely. “I took it as a sign of God and the universe,” he concluded.
