Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen, target of their last insults

After the opposition statements of Bruce Springsteen at the inaugural concert of his European tour, Trump exploded in his profile of the social network Truth Social. “I never liked, I never liked his music or his radical left policy and, more importantly, he is not a talent guy,” the president published.

Springsteen’s message was a call to “all those who believe in democracy” in their concert in Manchester, the United Kingdom. About his country, he said: “The United States that I love, (…) that they have been a lighthouse of hope and freedom for 250 years are currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and traitorous administration.

Trump’s post closed with a threatening note: “I should keep your mouth closed until I return to the country, that’s normal. Then we’ll see what happens to you!”

The direct attack against the guitarist joined a grievance against Taylor Swift, an artist with whom Donald Trump holds a conflict years ago. The publication in Truth Social says: “Has anyone realized that since I said ‘I hate Taylor Swift’, she is no longer ‘popular’?”

Both Springsteen and Swift supported Kamala Harris in the presidential elections in which Trump reached her second presidency. In both cases, they made public statements.

In line with his latest statements, the guitarist opposed the president’s campaign in 2024 and explained why: “for his disdain for the holiness of our Constitution, the holiness of democracy, the holiness of the rule of law and the holiness of the peaceful transfer of power.” In addition, he described Trump as the most dangerous candidate he witnessed in his life.

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, communicated his support for Harris in a post on his Instagram profile in 2024. “I think she is a leader with a firm and talented hand, and I think we can achieve much more in this country if we guide us calm and not chaos,” said the singer.

In response to that statement, Trump published a brief and forceful message: “I hate Taylor Swift!”

The last time the president and the artist were involved in a public dispute was in February 2025, when they agreed in the final of the Super Bowl. On that occasion a round of boos that Trump attributed to the rejection of the presence of the singer by the public was highlighted.

“The only person who had a harder night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” the president published on social networks.

After his support for Kamala Harris, Donald Trump declared war on Taylor Swift.

In 2020 Swift supported the formula of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and manifested about police repression to people who demanded justice for the murder of George Floyd.

On that occasion, he pointed directly against the president. “After feeding the fire of the white supremacy throughout your presidency, do you still have the impudence of pretending moral superiority to threaten more violence? When the looting starts, the shots begin ??? We will not vote in November“He posted.

The resentment that Trump has maintained for years is related to the great influence that the artist has on youth. The attitude of the president is systematically offensive with the figures that are planted as opposition.
