Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman could be summoned in the trial between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, protagonists of the film It ends with ushas taken a new turn: Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman could be called to declare as part of the judicial process.

The conflict began in December, when Lively demanded Baldoni for sexual harassment and for promoting a hostile work environment during the filming of the film.

Baldoni responded with a defamation contrademanda, demanding 400 million dollars from both the actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. Both parties deny the accusations.

According to reports of Daily MailSwift and Jackman would be cited as key witnesses. In the case of Swift, its name appears in messages that Baldoni’s defense presented as evidence, in which Blake mentions it as one of his “dragons” of support, along with Reynolds.

Besides, It is alleged that the actress conditioned the use of the subject My Tears Ricochetof Swift, in the trailer of the tape, to obtain greater control in the editing process.

On the other hand, Jackman could contribute context on the involvement of Reynolds, with whom he shared filming in Deadpool and Wolverine. The film includes a character that, according to some, parody of Baldoni. Jackman also participated in promotional events with Swift and Reynolds, which makes him a possible relevant witness.

Meanwhile, Lively seeks to dismiss Baldoni’s counterpart, arguing that it is a reprisal for having denounced harassment. His legal team invoked a California law approved after the #MeToo movement, which protects victims against defamation lawsuits. Reynolds also presented a motion to dismiss the case, qualifying accusations as unfounded.

The trial is scheduled for March 29, 2026, and in the middle of the process, Rumors about a distancing between Lively and Swift have grown, since they have not seen them publicly together since October.

The participation of both celebrities as witnesses could be key to defining the course of the case.
