The agreement ends a battle of several years between Swift, its former record record Big Machine Label Group, its manager Scooter Braun and the Risk Capital company Shamrock Capital, which had acquired albums. After losing control of the original recordings of her first works, the singer again recorded some of the albums in an attempt to subtract popularity from the originals.

“To say that it is my biggest dream, it is, in reality, to fall very short,” he wrote in the statement. “The only thing I have always wanted is to have the opportunity to work enough to be able to buy my music without conditions, without associations, with total autonomy.”
Although Swift composed the songs of his first six albums, Big Machine owned the recordings that made her famous. The record label sold them to Ithaca Holdings LLC, owned by Braun, in June 2019 as part of a broader agreement. After Swift spoke against the agreement, Ithaca Holdings sold those rights to Shamrock for around US $ 300 million.
Their re -registered, baptized as “Taylor’s version”, had a huge success and gave their fans the opportunity to put themselves from their side in the battle for the rights of their songs. Swift did not reveal how much paid to obtain the property in this new agreement.
The singer said that she now has control of all her photographs, album covers, videos and unpublished songs.
“I am very encouraged by the debate that this saga has revived in my sector between artists and fans,” he wrote. “Every time a new artist tells me that he has negotiated the property of his original recordings in his record contract thanks to this fight, I remember how important it was that all this happened.”
