Taylor Swift recovers the total control of his music – the Democrat

Mexico City.- After six years of a legal battle, singer Taylor Swift announced that she has regained total control of her full musical catalog.
In a letter published on its official website, Taylor Swift shared his joy for this achievement, highlighting the importance of recovering control of his artistic legacy. He thanked his followers for their constant support and the legal team that facilitated the transaction, ensuring that the process was fair and honest.
“I can say with all certainty: all the music that I have ever done now belongs to me. All my albums, the musical videos, the visual art, the edition and photography, the unpublished songs. Each era. All the work of my life,” he wrote.
Taylor said that having been able to recover his music has greatly due to the great support he received from his followers during his international tour The Eras Tour that began in March 2023 and concluded in December 2024, raising more than 2 billion dollars in ticket sales.
Taylor Swift’s long road to recover its catalog
The singer lost the rights of her first six albums in 2019 when Scooter Braun, then stars manager such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, acquired Big Machine Label Group, the record label that possessed the masters of those albums.
Taylor described the sale as his “worst scenario” and said they had not given him the opportunity to buy his work directly. His subsequent albums, from Lover (2019) onwards, were published by Republic, and the American retained the rights of the master recordings.
In November 2020, Braun sold the master recordings of Taylor’s albums to the private capital firm Shamrock Capital for $ 300 million, according to various reports.
To recover control over his music after the sale to Braun (and to devalue his investment), Swift embarked on a project to re -record the six albums and called each Taylor’s Version. In addition, he added clues from the vault of the original composition sessions that had not reached the albums.
This Friday, Finely Taylor Swift has recovered his master recordings, stating that it was Shamrock Capital itself who contacted her to achieve a direct agreement and without intermediaries.
“They managed each interaction with us honest, fair and respectful. For them it was a business, but I felt that they saw it as what it was for me: my memories, my sweat, my calligraphy and my decades of dreams. I am infinitely grateful,” said the singer.
