Taylor Swift repurchase the rights of the recordings of its first six albums

After her old seal sold her catalog in 2019, the singer embarked on her lucrative re -region project

“You Belong With Me (you belong to me, in Spanish),” Taylor Swift sang on one of his themes on his second album and never made a phrase more sense like this Friday. Just when a year of the concerts offered by the artist in Madrid and her followers are completed contemplating the memories of the event, the Pensylvania singer has recovered the master recordings of her first six albums, as she announced herself through her website.
Originally lost the rights in 2019 when his first record label, Big Machine, sold them to the musical executive Scooter Braun. Swift described the sale to Braun as his “worst scenario” and said they had not given him the opportunity to buy his work directly, but to “win” an album for each new album that he recorded for the seal. His subsequent albums, since “Lover” from 2019 onwards, were published by Republic, and Swift retained the rights of the master recordings.
