Taylor Swift will no longer be cited as a witness in the legal battle between Lively and Baldoni

The pop star Taylor Swift will no longer be summoned as a witness in the legal battle between actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni for the conflicts derived from their movie ‘It Ends With Us’, which will be settled in a trial that will begin on March 9, 2026.
Baldoni, who directed and co -starred with the film with Lively, withdrew on Thursday the documentation that requested the information as a witness of the singer, given her friendship with the Hollywood actress.
A Lively spokesman confirmed the news to several media and declared that they are “happy” that Baldoni’s legal team has “retired his citation of harassment to Taylor Swift and his law firm.”
“We support the efforts of the Taylor team to cancel these inappropriate citations aimed at your lawyer, and we will continue to defend any third party who is unfairly harassed or threatened in the process,” added the spokesman.
He also insisted that Baldoni’s team has tried to put the famous singer from the first moment, taking advantage of his fame.
Swift was summoned at the beginning of the month, but his team emphasized then that he did not have a close connection with the tape since “he never stepped on the set of this film, he did not participate in any casting or in creative decisions, he did not compose the soundtrack, he never saw an edition or took notes on the movie, he did not even see ‘It ends with us’ until weeks after its premiere”.
In addition, they added that the only connection with the artist is the license for the use of one of her songs in the feature film, just like another 19 artists did.
Last week there were several accusations by the Baldoni team with a letter addressed to the judge in which it was alleged that Lively had threatened to publish private messages with the singer, if he did not support her publicly. However, the judge withdrew from the file when considering it “undue” and “irrelevant” for the case.
The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni dates back to the end of 2024, when the actress denounced the actor and director of the tape for sexual harassment and for inappropriate behaviors during filming.
The conflict, which includes a claim of 400 million dollars, has done nothing but grow. Lively subsequently accused Baldoni and his producer, Wayfarer, to execute a plan to damage his reputation after the complaint of sexual harassment, and in turn they sued the actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, together with her publicist, for trying to “destroy” her career.
