The president of the United States, Donald Trump, began his mandate with a series of radical provisions, among which is the deportation of citizens of ten nationalities within the priority.

Trump promised during his campaign and when he won the election to accelerate the removal of undocumented immigrants. He offered to undertake the largest deportation program in the country’s history.

But within the priorities for deportation, the Trump administration has prioritized ten nationalities. With this, the withdrawal of 1.4 million migrants with a departure order and who are still in US territory will begin.

The United States Office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed a list of citizens with deportation orders.

Who is included in the deportation that Trump requests?

It should be noted that this deportation process is only part of what the new White House administration wants. This refers to those who already have orders to return to their country of origin, since millions of other undocumented immigrants are in another phase.

These are those who are a priority in the deportation requested by Trump:

  • Honduras – 261,651 people
  • Guatemala – 253,413 people
  • Mexico – 252,044 people
  • El Salvador – 203,822 people
  • Brazil – 38,677 people
  • China – 37,980 people
  • Jaiti – 32,363 people
  • Venezuela – 22,749 people
  • India – 17,940 people
  • Pakistan – 7,600 people

All of these people have received deportation orders from immigration judges and that is why Donald Trump is seeking their departure. These, despite having this sanction, continue to reside in the United States.

According to estimates by immigration experts, this represents a risk for obtaining visas for those who wish to enter that nation legally.

The mass deportation that Trump foresees would also represent the mobilization of logistics that are almost impossible to execute in a short period. There are even those who say it could take years.

The Ecuadorian nationality It does not enter into this first deportation mass established by the Trump administration. Additionally, it is expected that some 11 million undocumented migrants will also enter other phases of deportations.

CBP One application disabled

The US application CBP One stopped issuing appointments to request asylum while Donald Trump was inaugurated in Washington. In addition, previous appointments were canceled and the border with Mexico was closed.

“As of January 20, 2025, CBP One functionalities, which previously allowed undocumented aliens to submit information in advance and schedule appointments at eight ports of entry on the southwest border, are no longer available, and existing appointments have been cancelled,” explains a message included on the Customs and Border Protection website.

With the CBP One appointment document, one could freely transit through Mexico and enter the United States to appear before the North American authorities.

“It is very painful. We are threatened with death in Chiapas, we have been fleeing violence and we have no choice but to go to the United States,” lamented a migrant in statements to ‘El Universal’ while trying to request an appointment on the application.
