Text messages between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift could be used in court

Private messages between actress Blake Lively and her friend, singer Taylor Swift, can be delivered to actor and director Justin Baldoni and used as part of the high profile demand between Baldoni and Lively, ruled a court, according to the reports. BBC
According Variety
, The American district judge Lewis bordered that communications between Lively and Swift, who deal with the environment on the set of the movie “It Ends With Us”, are relevant to this case.
Lively’s legal team had requested that Baldoni did not have access to these messages, claiming that they were not related to the case.
Lively demanded Baldoni and his film study in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment in the set and a campaign to destroy his reputation. Baldoni sue Lively for defamation, but the lawsuit was dismissed last week.
In May, Baldoni’s lawyers tried to obtain messages directly from Taylor Swift by sending official citations in their name and their legal team. However, the summons were removed after the Swift team responded by stating that the application was “unfounded.”
After this, Lively tried to block access to messages even through regular judicial procedures.
But the judge limited differently, saying that these messages could better reflect what happened in the set or in the study.
“Since Lively has declared that Swift was aware of the complaints or discussions about the work environment in the film, the request to present swift messages about the film and this issue is reasonable and could show information that proves or refutes accusations of harassment and reprisals,” said the judge.
The clash between the matches
A Lively spokesman said: BillboardIt is true that Lively has presented many more documents in this process than Baldoni.
According to him, Baldoni and his public relations team are trying at all costs to involve Swift in this matter since last summer.
“We will continue to denounce Baldoni’s tireless efforts to exploit the popularity of Taylor Swift, which since the first day has been nothing more than a distraction of the serious accusations of sexual harassment and reprisals that he and his company Wayfarer face,” said the spokesman.
But Judge Liman responded that Lively’s statement that Baldoni is trying to take advantage of Swift’s fame for advertising purposes “does not justify that the parties involved do not present the requests requested.”
The trial is expected to begin in March 2026.
