The IV Interreligious Conferences will focus on the care of the elderly, the sick, workers and children

The IV Interreligious Conference ‘Spirit of Córdoba’, which will be held in the capital of Córdoba next February 11will focus on this occasion on the ‘Care of human life‘ and, in this sense, the program foresees that representatives of the four convening confessions (Catholics, Muslims, Jews and Evangelicals) analyze in detail aspects referring to care of the elderly, the sick, the needy and the workers, and the children and young people.

This is stated in the program of the meeting, which It is divided into four blocks: ‘Spirituality, elders and the city’, ‘Spirituality and care of the sick’, ‘Spirituality and socio-occupational care’ and ‘Spirituality and care of childhood and youth’.

The first block will feature the participation of Patricia Carles Grassin, Débora López, Ana Sierra Gámez and Joseph Salama as speakers; the second with Dunia Ammar Chaib, Carmen Lara, Enrique Aranda Aguilar and Sara Chocron; the third with Francisca del Carmen Sánchez García, Esteban Buch Sánchez, Iván de Arteaga del Alcázar and Daniela Shalom, and the fourth block with Jalid Nieto, Ángel Martínez Rodríguez, María Amor Martín Fernández and Ary Mesyngier.

The Córdoba Congress Palace, next to the Mosque-Cathedral, will be the setting in which the events will take place. presentations, round tables and cultural activities that make up the program of this meeting, which seeks to reinforce the role of Córdoba as a city of understanding and coexistence.

The IV Interreligious Conference ‘Spirit of Córdoba’, promoted by the Córdoba Conference Center itself, are organized by the Diocese of Córdoba, the Islamic Board of Spain, the Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain (FCJE) and the Federation of Religious Entities Evangelicals of Spain (Ferede).

Under the aforementioned motto of ‘Care for human life’, the event will bring together representatives of different religious denominations to «discuss the role of spirituality and cooperation in the preservation of life».

The meeting will take place for the fourth consecutive year in Córdoba, valuing the «integrative and plural spirit» from this Andalusian city, «historically recognized as a bridge between cultures», which serves the objective of the IV Interreligious Days, which seek to be «a space for reflection and meetingwhere the ethical, social and spiritual challenges related to the care of human life».
