The kings greet Donald Trump before starting the funeral of Pope Francis

Kings Felipe VI and Letizia have briefly greet themselves with the president of the United States, Donald Trump, before the start of the funeral by Pope Francis, which is celebrated this Saturday in the city of the Vatican, and have also exchanged some word with his wife, Melania Trump.

The protocol location has placed the kings practically next to Donald Trump and his wife, only separated by the president of Estonia, Alar Karis, during the funeral of Pope Francis, who has gathered more than 130 official delegations, 50 heads of state and 10 monarchs.

The Spanish delegation is headed by Reyes Felipe and Letizia, in which the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has not participated. The first and second vice presidents of the government, María Jesús Montero and Yolanda Díaz, respectively; the Minister of Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, Félix Bolaños; and the president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, have accompanied the Spanish monarchs.

As other leaders have done, the kings have presented their respects before the coffin of Pope Francis before starting the funeral ceremony and subsequently directed towards the Plaza de San Pedro. The Kings have been accompanied at their entry into the square by Montero, Díaz, Bolaños and Feijóo.
