According to Ignacio Martínez, a graduate of musical training of the El Bosque University and manager of Nadir Producciones, “the presence of Colombians in the American Music Awards strengthens the international positioning of our music and consolidates Colombia as a creative epicenter in the region. These types of recognition generate greater interest in stamps, platforms and brands to invest in the local scene, and that translates into more opportunities for emerging artists, producers, engineers and the entire ecosystem“
This year, the awards were given in a context in which the music industry marked income of US $ 29.6 billion (According to the latest figures of the International Federation of Industry, IFPI).
In fact, the industry reported growth for the tenth consecutive year, marked by the impact of streaming platforms, then Pags reached US $ 15.2 billion, being the most relevant income of music, than combined with free platforms with advertising total revenues for US $ 20.4 billion.

The risks of the industry
According to the IFPI report, although the music industry is increasingly recovering, The risks for the growth of artificial intelligence represent a threat to both figures and artists.
Therefore, several singers have already joined for legislation that protects the rights of musicians, and that AI allows to support human creativity, but not replace it.
This is something that goes in line with what has already begun to be seen in other types of awards, such as the Gammy Awards, in which this year the song ‘Now and Then’ of the Beatles took the prize for best rock interpretation after being restored with artificial intelligence.
