The Diocesan Secretariat of Spirituality of the Archbishopric of Valencia organized on Wednesday a new conference of the cycle around the theme “The diocesan mission in the centenary of the coronation of the Virgen de los Desamparados. Challenges and opportunities ”, offered by the Rector of the Basilica of the Virgin, Melchor Seguí.

The conference took place in the auditorium of the Archbishopric headquarters of Avellanas Street with the title “The Basilica of the Virgin: Marian spirituality,” said Santiago Bohigues, director of the Secretariat.

Following presentations

The following presentations planned in the cycle will be on “Maria’s itinerary (March 1)”, offered by Santiago Bohigues, director of the Diocesan Secretariat of Spirituality; and about “spirituality in the new forms of evangelization”, by the Dean of the Faculty of Theology Santiago Pons (April 19).

The cycle will be closed on May 31 by the priest Rafael Pla Calatayud, of the Secretariat of Spirituality, with the presentation “Pray the Word: to the listening of the word with the divine lectio.”

Spirituality activities

The diocesan secretariat of spirituality also organizes a series of activities throughout the course in the field of spiritual formation, aimed at priests, consecrated and lay life.

Thus, next Saturday a retreat from the divine lectio will take place in the monastery of the Cisteria de Benaguacil.
