The Rock changes air becoming MMA’s legend in the first trailer for The Smashing Machine

The Smashing Machine premieres trailer and with him offers us A first look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson like the legendary former star of the UFC Mark Kerr.
The trailer, then reveals Johnson’s portrait of Mark Kerr’s life and career, a former fighter and UFC star who fought against substance abuse. Emily Blunt plays Kerr’s then wife, Dawn Staples. The co -director of Uncut Gems Benny Safdie is the screenwriter and director of the A24 film, who reaches theaters October 3, 2025.
Johnson is almost unrecognizable as Kerr. He doesn’t have his tattoos, but hair. You can see how Johnson compares with Kerr below.

This film is an adaptation of the 2002 documentary entitled The Smashing Machine: The Life and Times of Extreme Fighter Mark Kerrand will deepen the life of the former fighter and athlete of MMA in the UFC and beyond, including his “struggles against addiction, victory, love and friendship in the year 2000”.

Johnson will resume his animated Disney role as Maui in the real action movie Vaianathat will be released next year.
