The trial for the spectacular robbery suffered by the star of the Telerreality Kim Kardashian in Paris in 2016, whom some thieves stole ten million dollars in jewels in his hotel room, starts next Monday in the French capital.
Towards 03:00 a.m. on October 3, 2016, two hooded men broke at the tip of the hotel room where the famous American influential one was staying, which was in Paris for Fashion Week.

The assailants pointed it with a gun and one of them, according to Kardashian’s story, he addressed her in English with “a strong French accent” and asked him to give him his ring.
After that, they tied and gagged her and locked her in the bathroom.
The ring was the commitment alliance that her husband had given her at that time, rapper Kanye West, a jewel valued at four million dollars, and that Kardashian, who was then 35 years old, exhibited on social networks as well as the rest of her life.
The famous one always stayed at the same hotel, a very exclusive, but discreet place that had little security.
Kardashian frequently published on social networks live publications about where he was, so the temptation too strong for the “grandparents thieves”, as the press nicknamed for his age, which then was around 60 years.
“It was not a great armed robbery,” but an “easy job,” said the main defendant, Aomar Ait Khedache, identified by his DNA. The thief acknowledged that he had tied Kardashian, but refuses to be the leader, as the researchers claim.
The suspect said they proposed this “blow”, designed thanks to a “informant” very close to Kardashian, who could give them green light.
The night of the robbery, the famous star was alone since her bodyguard accompanied her sister Kourtney to a disco.
The assault was fast – about ten minutes – but left Kardashian traumatized.
In total, thieves took 10 million dollars in jewelry, so this case is considered the largest robbery of a person in the last 20 years in France.
Of all the loot, only a collar was found in the street that the robbers dropped during their escape. It is believed that gold was molten and the researchers, who seized hundreds of thousands of euros at the house of thieves, think that a large part of the jewels was sold in Belgium.
These “old bandits”, as the researchers described them, were arrested three months after theft.
– «Rapper wife» –
Kardashian, star of Telerreality, is a powerful very influential businesswoman on social networks, had about 84 million followers on Instagram in 2016. Today they amount to 357 million.
But, her robbers seemed to know little about her. At the hotel, they threatened the receptionist, who asked about “the rapper’s wife.” They did not realize who it really was until later, when they saw the media and international scope of theft.
The difference is abysmal between these two worlds, which will face themselves in the Parisian audience hall, where Kardashian confirmed that he will attend to testify on May 13.
Aomar Ait Khedache, his accomplice Didier Dubreucq, who were already convicted of robberies or drug trafficking, and eight other suspects will appear in view of the view to which 400 journalists will attend, a quarter of them foreign correspondents.
Despite the “media frenzy”, the trial “must hold quiet audiences,” warns one of the defense lawyers, Margot Pugliese.
The judges must determine who did what and above all how the assailants could be so well informed. The investigation points to Gary Madar, the brother of the Kardashian driver, who categorically denies his involvement.
Nine years after the facts, the audiences are projected complex: one of the defendants died in March and the oldest, Pierre Bouaianere, 80, is not in a state of being judged.
Aomar Ait Khedache, 68, is deaf and can only communicate in writing, explains one of his lawyers, Chloé Arnoux.
Kardashian did not return to Paris for a long time and stopped exposing his life, at least live, on the networks.
“Everything happens for some reason, to teach you something,” he said in an interview. “I was someone very materialistic,” but “those things are no longer interested, I am a better person,” he said.
The verdict is expected to be pronounced on May 23.
