The United States designated the “Terrorgram” collective and three of its leaders as a terrorist group

The United States Department of State announced this Monday the appointment of the group Terrorgram and three of its leaders as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT), under Executive Order 13224 and its amendments. The measure seeks to counter transnational threats related to violent extremism Racially or ethnically motivated (REMVE), including violent white supremacism.

Terrorgrama transnational terrorist network that operates primarily on the messaging platform Telegramhas been singled out for promoting violent white supremacy and for providing detailed instructions for plan attacks against critical infrastructure, government officials, and suspected adversaries. Furthermore, it glorifies those who have perpetrated acts of violence motivated by their ideology.

Attacks linked to the group’s influence include a shooting outside a bar LGBTQI+ in Slovakiaan attempted attack on energy facilities in New Jersey and a knife attack at a mosque in Türkiye. In September 2024, the US Department of Justice brought charges against two leaders of Terrorgram for conspiracy to commit hate crimes, inciting the murder of federal officials and providing material support for terrorism.

In addition to the group, three of its leaders were identified as terrorists:

• Ciro Daniel Amorim Ferreirachannel manager Terrorgram and Brazilian citizen residing in Brazil.
• Noah Liculprominent member of the collective, Croatian citizen residing in Croatia.
• Hendrik-Wahl Mulleralso administrator of the channel, South African citizen residing in South Africa.

All three have been appointed for their leadership within the organization and for their participation in activities that pose a significant threat to the security of citizens and the interests of the United States.

With this designation, all assets and interests linked to Terrorgram and the indicated persons that are under US jurisdiction are blockedwhile US persons and entities are prohibited from transacting with them. These sanctions seek to limit the ability of the group and its leaders to use the United States financial system. and expose their illicit operations globally.

The government of Joe Biden reaffirmed its commitment to addressing the transnational dimensions of domestic terrorism and violent extremism. Since the publication of the National Strategy to Counter Domestic Terrorism In June 2021, the United States has stepped up actions to identify and designate foreign entities linked to acts of domestic terrorism, including those related to white identity.
