They ask for help to solve the mystery of a body found in Malpica (A Coruña) in 2022
The Civil Guard has renewed its call for citizen collaboration to try to identify the lifeless body of a woman found floating in the sea off the Sisargas Islands, in the A Coruña municipality of Malpica.
The body was found on December 22, 2022 about two nautical miles from the coast, and after three years of investigations, its identity is still unknown.
This is a woman of between 30 and 40 years old, 1.69 meters tall and slim buildwith an approximate weight of 65 kilos. He had brown skin, dark brown hair in medium length and features that point to a possible South American or Central American origin.
At the time she was found, she was wearing blue jeans and a maroon sweatshirt with Harry Potter logo.
Among the characteristics that could help identify it are a piercing in the navel and two tattoos: one with a marijuana leaf on the back of the left hand and another with tribal symbols on the front trunk and right side.
Since the investigations carried out by the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of A Coruña have not produced conclusive results, the Forensic Anthropology Department of the Criminalistics Service of the Civil Guard has carried out a facial reconstruction of the deceased’s face. This effort seeks to provide new visual elements that can facilitate their identification.
The Civil Guard has asked anyone who can provide information about this case to contact them through the telephone numbers 981 167 824, 981 167 800 or 062.
In this way, the authorities hope to be able clarify the identity of the deceased and shed light about the circumstances surrounding his death.
The case remains open and citizen collaboration is considered essential to advance in the resolution of this mystery that has been unanswered for years. With the publication of the portrait prepared by the forensic experts, the Civil Guard trusts that someone can recognize this woman and contribute to closing the investigation.
