They cancel Shakira Fenway Park concert

Boston – The expected concert of the Colombian superstar Shakira, scheduled for this Thursday, May 29 at the Fenway Park, was surprisingly canceled just hours before its realization.

The event marked the beginning of the Fenway 2025 concert series and was part of its world tour Women no longer cry.

The news was confirmed by a statement issued by the promoter Live Nation, who also reported the cancellation of the show of Friday 30, starring artists Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the presentations of Shakira, Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn (…) have been canceled,” says the message. Live Nation also indicated that the reimbursements will be made at the point of purchase.

So far, no specific details have been offered about the “unforeseen circumstances” that forced the concerts.

This lack of information has generated uncertainty among fans, especially those who were already in the city or had traveled from other states to attend the presentations.

The cancellation of the Shakira show represents a blow to the organization of the Fenway Park, which bet on a vibrant inauguration of its series of concerts with the participation of one of the most influential Latin artists worldwide.

The event promised a memorable night with a mixture of classics and new successes of the singer.

Neither Shakira nor the other artists involved have issued public statements in this regard. Meanwhile, social networks have been filled with messages of disappointment and concern on the part of the followers, many of whom expected a prompt reprogramming or at least a clearer explanation about cancellation.
