Airports Argentina Youth Orchestra
The Airports Argentina Youth Orchestra Born from an initiative of the Eurnekian family. Its objective is to promote the intellectual and artistic development of adolescents from sectors of high social vulnerability.
The group is made up of 45 musicians from 16 to 25 years, selected by the teacher Néstor Tedesco among 1600 students graduated from the program “Infanta-Juveniles orchestras of the City of Buenos Aires”. Scholarships in their artistic studies through the Corporación América Foundation, not only are the most potential but also those who demonstrated claw, determination and desire to integrate, develop and strengthen in and with music.
Thanks to a collaboration agreement between the Department of Musical Arts of the National University of the Arts and the Corporación América Foundation, the members of the Orchestra were enabled to study the technical in musical instruments.
The orchestra has already held concerts in the most important rooms in Buenos Aires: Colón Theater, Palacio Libertad (former CCK), Avenida Theater, Coliseum, Opera, National Sancor, Luna Park, Belgrano Auditorium; in the airports of Ezeiza, Bariloche, Salta, Aeroparque and Córdoba; at the National University of the Arts, UADE, Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law and University of La Matanza.
Acted along with Forever Tangothe Harvard-Radcliffe Youth Orchestra (USA), with the Camerata Barilochewith the tenor Darío voluntedand popular music figures as Néstor Fabián, Ariel Ardit, Patricia Sosa and Sandra Mihanovich.
With specially written arrangements for its training, the orchestra undertook the challenge of making symphonic presentations of diverse characteristics such as “Forever Tango” (Symphonic Tango), Symphonic galaxies, Taylor Swift symphonic and Tribute to Ennio Morricone.
