Trump says Maduro will receive the Venezuelan deportees, “including the criminals of the Aragua train”

Donald Trump announced this Saturday that Venezuela has yielded to the pressures and will accept the entry of “all Venezuelan illegal immigrants who were camped in the United States.” The President has also said that in the list of deportees will be “The members of the Trena de Aragua gang”, a mafia of Venezuelan origin that has extended its tentacles throughout the region. The announcement continues to visit Caracas by Richard Grenell, who traveled to warn Maduro that he had to receive the expelled and also deliver to the Americans in Venezuela accused of conspiracy. The Venezuelan government has not so far confirmed an eventual agreement with the United States in the case of deportees, the most visible face of the anti -immigrant policy that Trump promotes from the White House. On Friday, after the meeting between Maduro and Grenell, the Venezuelan government spoke of promoting with Washington a “zero agenda” of negotiations. Chavismo had already reached deportation agreements with the Biden administration. Deportation flights of Venezuelan migrants were also initiated through the Venezuelan state airline Conviasa, sanctioned by the Department of the Treasury, which was given a license to be able to carry out this operation.

When Barbados’s commitments ran over the government’s systematic blockade to opposition electoral initiatives – in particular the disqualification of candidate María Corina Machado -, the United States suspended the renewal of oil licenses.
