“Unfortunately, Shakira’s performance tonight has been postponed due to structural problems. All previously acquired entries will be valid for the new date once announced. More email will be sent to the entry holders when available. Excuse the discomfort,” they said from Live Nation through Richard Oliver.
Later, Shakira shared a publication in her social networks accounts in which she explains that to act in each city, they depend on an external company that locally provides the infrastructure for the stage and the roof from which its production hangs and explains what happened.
I regret to inform them what they have told me: due to a structural problem with a support structure provided by this external company for my scenario, we are forced to reprogram the concert in San Antonio, with exhausted tickets, originally planned for tonight, June 13.
It is not the first that Shakira cancels a concert on this tour, “women no longer cry”, which is carrying out in cities in the United States.
The Latin Superstar concert Shakira at the Boston Fenway Park was canceled days ago, only hours before the expected show, which unleashed the nonconformity of thousands of fans who traveled from other states and other countries to see it live.
The Colombian artist did not pronounce on the cancellation on her social networks and for now the exact reasons for not appearing in Fenway Park, with capacity for almost 40,000 people, are unknown.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the presentations of Shakira, Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn, originally scheduled for May 29 and 30, respectively, in the Fenway Park, have been canceled. Refunds will be made at the point of purchase. Excuse the discomfort,” said the Live Nation statement.
