Miley Cyrus has launched the main single of ‘Something Beautiful’, its new album, which is put on sale on May 30. The previous advances, ‘Prelude’ and ‘Something Beautiful’, have served as an introduction to the album, but ‘end of the world’ is the real bet.
‘End of the World’, such as ‘Flowers’, reinvent a sound associated with the 70s, this time that of Abba. The stanzas of ‘End of the World’ seem those of ‘Mamma Mia’ and pop-disco production with acoustic guitars is how the Swedes understood. However, the chorus of ‘End of the World’ points to the stratosphere as some songs of M83 or Coldplay.
‘End of the World’ is another great pop song inspired by the end of the world. Cyrus’s message is to enjoy life while “heaven falls like a comet on July 4.” The political background is evident, but more evident are the pop references launched in the letter, of the Beatles to Nirvana passing through herself.
Cyrus has helped write ‘End of the World’, among others, Molly Rankin and Alec O’Hanley, members of Alvvays. Miley surrounds himself again from the best after having Jonathan Rado de Foxygen in ‘Prelude’ and Adam Granduciel by the War On Drugs in ‘Something Beautiful’.
