Culture and spirituality join in exchange between Bolivia and India on the island of the Sol

Authorities of Bolivia and India carried out a cultural exchange on the island of the Sol, where traditional dances were presented and a yoga session was held. The event was attended by Vice President David Choquehuanca and the Ambassador of India in Bolivia, Vishvas Sapkal.

During the day, the Indian delegation presented traditional dances and led a yoga session, highlighting the importance of balance between body, mind and spirit. This principle finds similarities with the Andean worldview, which made the event even more significant.

The local settlers welcomed visitors with native music and a traditional Apthapi, creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality.

In his speech, Choquehuanca stressed the connection between the philosophical principles of both nations. “We are from the culture of life and this ancestral practice of India resembles ours a lot.
