Shakira announced the postponement of his concert planned for June 20 at the Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, in response to the demonstrations that take place in the city against the migratory raids promoted by the Immigration and Customs Control Service (ICE). The new show date will be on August 4.

The decision was communicated through the official Tour account ‘women no longer cry’ in the social network X, where it was explained that the change responds to an act of empathy with the migrants affected by the massive raids that have generated tension in multiple cities of the country.

The organizers indicated that the concert, whose entries were already exhausted, could be extended with a second date due to the high demand.

This has not been the only setback in the artist’s tour. On May 31, its presentation in Washington was also canceled due to logistics problems, after production could not be transported from Boston, where another concert had previously suspended.

From the beginning, the tour has faced significant changes. The initially planned dates between November and December 2024 in the United States and Canada were transferred to 2025 due to high demand and the need to modify the enclosures.

In an interview published this Friday by the BBC, Shakira criticized United States immigration policy and said: “Being immigrant today in this country means living with constant fear.”

In addition, he called the unit by declaring: “We have to raise their voice and make it very clear that a country can change its immigration policies, but the treatment of all people must always be human.”
