Spirituality in times of Artificial Intelligence

12/26/2024 – Pablo d’Ors is a priest, writer and founder of the network of meditators “Friends of the Desert” and the secular monasticism project “Tabor”.
He was born in Madrid, Spain in 1963 and his training has been nourished by the cultural, academic and religious spheres of Germany, the United States, Italy, the Czech Republic and Austria. He was ordained a priest in 1991 in the Congregation of the Claretian Missionaries. In 2014, Pope Francis appointed him to the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Culture.
His books “Biography of Silence” and “Biography of Light” have become milestones for understanding and advancing in meditation, contemplation, and interreligious spirituality. Currently, Pablo d’Ors is dedicated to the study and practice of hesychasm, and gives conferences and retreats all over the world, which is why he is in Córdoba, where he will give an open conference.
What is the status of “spirituality” in our postmodern culture? What are the fruits of a life that takes time for meditation, for contemplation? Is there a thirst for spirituality, for meditation, for contemplation in people?
