The Diocese of Jaén organizes Spiritual Exercises for priests and deacons within the framework of the Jubilee of Hope
The Diocese of Jaén announces the celebration of Spiritual Exercises aimed at all priests and deacons of the Holy Kingdom, which will take place from February 9 to 14, 2025, at the Diocesan House of Spirituality “San Juan de Ávila”, located in La Yedra . This event is part of the activities of the Jubilee Year of Hope, offering a unique opportunity for spiritual renewal and strengthening the pastoral ministry of the clergy.
The Episcopal Delegate for the Clergy, Raúl Contreras Moreno, has highlighted that “the Spiritual Exercises are a special moment to meet again with the Lord, listen to his voice in the silence and renew one’s strength in the face of the demands of the pastoral ministry.” Likewise, he stressed that making the EE. EE. in the Diocese allows us to reinforce fraternal communion and identity as a diocesan presbytery.
The person in charge of directing the Spiritual Exercises will be Mons. D. Jesús Fernández González, Bishop of Astorga, who will share his extensive personal and pastoral experience with the participants.
With these Spiritual Exercises the Diocese of Jaén reaffirms its commitment to the ongoing formation of its clergy in this jubilee year.
