The Prosecutor’s Office asks for 10 years in jail for the brain of the robbery to Kim Kardashian
Paris, May 21 (EFE) .- The Prosecutor’s Office today requested a penalty of 10 years in jail for the one considered as the brain of the millionaire jewelry robbery to Kim Kardashian in Paris in October 2016.
“There is no doubt about the guilt of the defendants,” said prosecutor Anne Dominique Merville in her final allegation before the court that judges the ten defendants.
The prosecutor defined as the group leader and organizer of the robbery to Aomar Aït Khedache, a multirreincidental robber who was one of those who threatened Kardashian to deliver his jewels.
Aït Khedache, now 69, has serious health problems, since he is deaf and almost silent, apologized to Kardashian through an assistant during the trial.
Despite her situation and that the risk of recidivism is non -existent, the prosecutor requested the penalty because “she must pay for her crimes.”
The robbery, which went around the world for the status of the star of the television and social networks of the victim -which now has 356 million followers on Instagram -occurred in the early hours of October 3, 2016.
That night, the band assaulted a small and discreet luxury hotel in the Madeleine area, in the center of Paris, where Kardashian stayed within his assistance to Fashion Week.
The assailants took jewels valued at about 10 million, including the wedding ring that rapper Kanye West had given to Kim Kardashian, a piece with a 19 carat diamond and valued at about four million dollars.
The defendants were arrested in January 2017. Some have admitted their participation, since they were identified by DNA remains, while others have defended their innocence.
