What is Day Zero like, the miniseries starring Robert De Niro that Netflix premieres in February
Netflix officially released the first trailer of Day Zerothe six-episode miniseries with Robert DeNiro in the leading role and as executive producer. The story takes as its starting point a cyber attack which will leave the main organizations of North American power exposed.
The cyberattack creates consequences that threaten to plunge the United States into chaos, with widespread technology outages, computer hacking, and more than 3,402 deaths. Therefore, the former president George Mullenplayed by De Niro, is summoned again to the White House by order of the current president (played by Angela Bassett), to lead Day Zero, a commission in charge of finding those responsible for the attack.
“As misinformation spreads and the personal ambition of power groups in tech, Wall Street, and government collide, Mullen’s relentless pursuit of the truth forces him to confront his own dark secrets, while risking everything he can. “He cares,” says the argument published by Netflix.
The trailer hints that Mullen is hiding a secret that not even his wife, played by Joan Allen, knows. The images also include warnings about the importance of conspiracy theorists and how such an attack could endanger civil liberties.
